‘Cotton Candy’- does the name instill any idea in you as of yet? Or are you struggling to contemplate what this article is going to be about? Before anything else, let’s take a walk down memory lane. Remember the times, when a major reason to visit the local fairs was to grab those mesmerizing, magnanimous cotton candies in pink and blue? Ah, the sheer delight in simply watching those colourful candies, let alone their taste!  As adults, when you indulge in your cotton candy rhapsody, you’d realize, more than the act of devouring, it was the entire idea attached to it, which has remained etched in our psyche; especially the joyful colours of those candies.

Imagine rejuvenating that scintillating joy of the cotton candy experience, albeit through fashionable apparel? In fact, while you are trying to assemble that thought, the fashion cosmos has already ‘been there, done that’. Off late, the designers have had the ‘cotton candy frenzy’, so to speak; not only the international designers, but the Indian designers too are continuing to explore the immense possibilities in terms of fashion, using the cotton candy pink- blue and their varied shades.

However, usually the cotton candy colours are mostly associated with western clothing. Yet, what if I told you, ethnic apparel can look as pretty, in our favorite cotton candy shades? It’s about time you break this stereotype and take a look at what I found for all you fashion fanatics out there:-

1) Check out this indo-western angrakha style jacket with candy pink floral design and candy blue base.  Teamed with pastel blue kurta and aligarh pants, the outfit in its entirety will melt one’s heart, just the way those candies melt in the mouth!
